So first the good.

It looks great, very slim, clean look. In bright conditions the picture is great and I really don't feel as though this running at 60Hz degrades the quality at all so don't worry about that.

The bad..
Flashlighting - in a dark environment like watching a movie in the dark this set exhibits horrible flashlighting - the light from the leds in the edges leaks onto the screen washing out the picture. Deal breaker so I returned it and got the 6800 which can dim these leds enhancing contrast and eliminating the flashlighting.
Also of note is that the controls on the TV are impossible to make out because they are black/grey on the black bezel.

So if you can find one that doesn't leak light or only watch with the lights on it will work for you, if you want to watch in the dark you should go a different route.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3CR Kit 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 14mm Pancake Lens Review

This Panasonic GF3 is a rather impressive camera that can take VERY sharp pictures with really good IQ/Dynamic range, and color overall. Besides my love for Photography I also enjoy using the best of the best cameras in their category if I can afford them. I have owned, or own the Canon S95/Fuji X100/ Sony NEX-5, Had the original E-P1, Had the GF1 prior.

I have been searching forever for a VERY SMALL camera that can take DSLR like pictures. Though the GF1 did have a little bit more manual control than the GF1 does, for instance even flash compensation..I can't seem to find that adjustment on this GF3. Even cheap point and shoots often let you change the amount of flash you will use, That's one con here.

Overall though, though using the same sensor as the older GF1 and GF2 my pictures from my GF3 look BETTER overall as to color, noise, IN focus, virtually no Moire pattern problems..the GF1 had a lot of Moire pattern noise, the GF3 seems much cleaner.

The GF3 has something called pinpoint focus. It works GREAT and so super fast. You choose ANY point on the lcd you want to focus on, drag the POINT where you want it. Press the shutter 1/2 way down..you can focus on just an eye or any small spot you like. The screen will first show you an enlarged view so you KNOW you have perfect focus..that's a great plus being able to have picture after picture IN focus. Also depending upon what focus mode you choose the focus speed is rocket fast on this camera and usually quite accurate. Pictures outdoors look as good as a high quality DSLR as to overall dynamic range, very little highlight clipping, color..and the 14 mm lens has virtually no purple fringing. The reason for just four stars is though the GF3 is pretty good up to 800iso ..you still see a bit too much noise and yellow splotches on jpegs indoors unless the light is rather bright or you use 400 iso and under. It's too bad there's no in camera image stabilization like Olympus does..another con if you are using the 14mm lens or the 1.7 aperture lens here. My Fuji x100 can use iso 2000 in poor light and still look amazing. BUT the x100 has a full sized sensor and is a fixed lens camera..and it's much more expensive and larger than the GF3, so not a fair comparison.

Overall as to overall picture quality, SMALL FORM factor, this camera with LARGE sensor is almost the exact same size as the Pana LX5 which I also own...you just can't beat the GF3 overall,as far as the camera you CAN take with you..vs some bulky heavy camera that will drag you down.

I have not used the video function as it is not important to me so I can't comment about that.

I like the pictures from this GF3 overall a bit more than my NEX-5 because the NEX-5 pics to me all look all a bit too soft..it mis focuses too often..and NEX color seems a bit too saturated..(Just not right). That said, the NEX5 blows away the GF3 on high iso..hence it depends how you are going to use your camera most.

Overall..I think most people will really like the GF3. Sure if you NEED a hot shoe..obviously it doesn't have one. For me if I'm going to use a hot shoe..It's going to defeat some of the SMALL factor, so why bother with a small camera like this in the first place. I applaud Panasonic for getting most things right here. The touchscreen works just fine, you just need get used to it. It's 2011..maybe this will be the way of the future, change is often painful..:)
Overall..this is an excellent camera..maybe a tad overpriced I feel..but an excellent camera on most points.

10W7AE-3 - JL Audio 10" Single 3-Ohm W7 Series Subwoofer Anniversary Edition Review

I have had two 15's in a seventh order isobaric box in my younger days but these speaker hit really hard. They are monsters in every sense of the word. I wanted a hard hitting bass in my ZL1 Camaro and these do not disappoint. I mounted these in a box from Subthump with a slightly smaller area than required (1.1 instead of 1.25 for a sealed enclosure). I talked to a tech guy at JL Audio and he said I wouldn't really notice that little difference in area and I could add some fiber fill if I wanted. If you do decide to put these in a purchased enclosure you should know that they require a smaller cutout than a standard 10 and the box should be reinforced to handle them (I found this out the hard way). I also purchased a JL Audio 1000 watt Slasher Amp because you don't want to under power these speakers. All I can say is that I can't keep the rear view mirror in one place. The minute I move it so I can see out the back window a second later it is down again. It shakes so hard that you really can't see anything in the mirror anyway. The only drawback I can think of is the cost to ship these because the box's weighs 30lbs each. The price may be a little high for some but it is worth every penny. All I can say is WOW!!!

Bought it on Amazon. Loved the wireless streaming feature, even though I had to buy a wireless adaptor, and it was in the front blocking the other jacks and it wasn't pretty.

In the beginning the subwoofer would occasionally work, but most of the time the light is off. After a while it wouldn't even turn on. The seller offered to send a replacement but I was just too worried about the quality so I returned it. The return was very easy as they pick it up. Packing was a pain though.

Overall I think the sound was very good, except there was no bass...

With 16 cameras and as many cables, I was amazed when I realized that there was a zero-percent failure rate on the entire system. I have them installed, cables run and the system seems to be working fine. The biggest surprise was the quality of the all-metal mounting brackets... NO Plastic!

The camera quality was better than I expected, night vision is about what I expected.

The only negative is that it can sometimes take hours sitting on hold before you get through to someone in support. You can expect a 24-48 hour turn-around on email replies. The few times I spoke with a Zmodo tech, they were all very nice and anxious to help.

I would definitely recommend this package.

The Elite series from Pioneer has developed a reputation for providing high quality at an affordable price. This is the third Elite receiver I have owned, and it definitely lives up to what it should be. Don't worry, I got the second one to move from 5.1 to 7.1, and I just got this one because the second one got zapped in an electrical storm. (I now have an APC J15 UPS protecting my equipment.)

The SC-37 has all the power you could want in any normal sized environment, and it provides crystal clear sound all the way up to its limit. Of course, I don't listen to anything that loud, which only means that it has plenty of power and headroom for any of my movies and audio.

Right out of the box, it sounded very nice - a bit on the bright side, though. Running the fully automatic MCACC made a very noticeable difference - not quite huge, but almost. Suddenly, the sound was full and rich, without any bright spots, and the spaciality was excellent. It was fun to listen to classical music and close my eyes and be able to pick out where each instrument in the orchestra was positioned. Someday I may go in and make manual adjustments to the setup, but for now I don't feel that I need to; the MCACC did a great job on its own.

Hooking up the receiver could not have been easier. With today's equipment, one HDMI cable provides both digital video and audio to the component. Digital (both coax and optical) and analog audio connections are provided, as are composite and component video connections, but no S-Video. I don't have any HDMI 1.4 components, so I can't report on the return feature it provides.

In addition to the normal (for these days) 7.1 connections (your subwoofer must be powered, as the SC-37 does not provide a subwoofer amplifier), the receiver also provides another pair of speaker outputs that can be used either as front high or front wide auxiliary speakers. (Alternatively, they can be configured as a B stereo pair.) I bought another set of satellite speakers and set them up in the front high configuration (about 4 ft above the front left and right speakers) and it really does make a noticeable difference in the sound. It adds another dimension, helps the spaciality and tends to fill in otherwise empty spots in the spacial field. One caution, though: nine sets of speaker wires is a lot of wires!

The SC-37 has a lot of features, many of which I don't believe I'll ever use, but I will eventually connect it to the Internet and my PC and will someday plug in a USB stick to listen to recordings. For now, though, I've been having fun playing with the various advanced surround effects and was surprised at how nice the Classical effect is. When you switch it on, suddently you are in a concert hall, with just the right amount of ambience and reverb to make it come alive.

This top-of-the-line receiver is not cheap, but compared to other receivers in its class, it is a real bargain. Once again, Pioneer has done right by me, and I'm very happy with this purchase.
