Samsung SCX-4725FN Network Laser Multifunction Printer, Copier, Fax, Color Scanner Review

I purchased this product strictly because of the price. It is wonderful. Scans are easy. Just use a program to acquire the image with the supplied twain driver, which by the way, is a nice piece of software. And fast. Got my samsung hardwired to my network. My wireless laptops can print to it no problem. Wakes from sleep fast, prints fast, and its quiet. Nothing to complain about. It really is like having a full blown office machine in your home.

Besta CD-737P 2 Way Chinese-English Sentence Translator Electronic Dictionary Review

Had almost identical device for a year now and found the pinyin input feature useful, but you cannot input the tone for any pinyin - you have to instead choose from a list of characters. Very difficult for a beginner.

This machine will show you how to draw characters with a nice clear animation which also allows you to try with a scribe pen and touch screen. It is good for getting the stroke order correct and clear enough to copy from for written practice on paper.

It allows for english inputs and for character inputs using the scribe pen included. Accurate.

It gives pronounciation guides in audio for most characters, but I don't know how good they are myself. I am told by a Chinese friend that they are fine. She listened to a few.

There is a lot of material aimed at a native of China, but enough is useful to make it worth getting for the serious student. Although it is expensive outside of China.

Sony VAIO SE1 Series VPCSE13FX/S 15.5-Inch Laptop (Platinum Silver) Review

I've had this laptop for about a week now and I couldn't be happier with it.

Pros:
1. Gorgeous 15.5" LCD screen. It's got great resolution, brilliant colors, and it's very bright. The 15.5" screen may not be huge, but there is so much workspace because the resolution is so impressive. Great viewing angles as well.

2. Light but sturdy chasis. The chasis may be metal (which gives it a very modern look), but it's still so light you can pick up the laptop with one hand with relative ease.

3. Great battery life. As with most manufacturers Sony exaggerated a bit when they said you get 6 hrs on this machine, but it does come close. If you're on 50% screen brightness and you're only doing browsing the web you will get about 5 hours.

4. Great performance. The laptop comes with a 2nd generation i5 2.4GHz processor, which is significantly faster than the i3. Everything about the laptop is quick, including the boot-up, which takes well under a minute.

5. Doesn't pick up fingerprints. The finish on this laptop is matte, which means it resists fingerprints really well. The only truly glossy part of this laptop is the VAIO logo on the front.

6. Speed/stamina option. Sony includes a button that allows you to switch between using the Radeon graphics card (speed) and the less powerful, integrated Intel graphics (stamina). I thought this was pretty pointless at first but if you're not working with graphics intensive stuff and you're trying to conserve battery life, switching to the Intel graphics actually adds up to an 1 hour.

7. Relatively quiet. For people who are concerned about the fan noise, don't be. It's really not that noticeable, even when I'm gaming. Oddly enough, my roommate has the 13.3" version of this laptop and the fan on that is extremely loud at times.

Cons:
1. The touchpad takes a little time to get used to.

2. The speakers are pretty weak and barely have any bass.

3. The headphone jack is towards the back, which is annoying if your headphone cord isn't that long.

4. It's pretty easy for stuff like dust to get under the keys. Unfortunately it's a lot harder to clean...

Bottom line: The price might a setback but if you are looking for a laptop that balances performance, battery life, reliability, and aesthetics, this laptop is definitely worth it.

Keep in mind also, that at the time of me writing this, Amazon is offering a free $50 gift card and free sheet battery (which attaches to the bottom of the laptop, doubles the battery life, and retails for $130). $930 - $50 - $130 = $750.

For those of you who are searching for a new laptop and don't really know what you want yet: the other laptop I had considered was the Toshiba Portege. It's similar to this laptop in many ways but it is cheaper by $100 or so. There are a few minor drawbacks, like a weaker graphics card (Intel integrated graphics), no backlit keys, and a non-HD screen. Depending on what you want that may be a better option.

Samsung LN60C630 60-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV, Black Review

This TV is amazing. Don't be scared that it is not LED, trust me this picture will rival anything out there. When watching sports its feels like your at the game. The image is so clean and uniform it's unbelievable.

I use this TV for my Xbox 360, Blu-Ray, Direct TV. There have been zero issues and everything works great.

This TV doesn't have any of the problems that LEDs have such as uniformity issues or uneven backlight. For the price this can't be beat. Everyone that comes over to watch TV is simply amazed at the picture quality. The TV not only has a great picture, but looks good too.

The remote has been improved from previous models that had the scroll wheel (like an ipod) which was difficult to use. This remote is simple to use which is nice. The TV also switches much faster between inputs. There is no lag when switching. There are no problems between audio and video being in sync, I do use a receiver for surround sound.

The only thing to do when getting this TV is to turn down the auto-motion plus to clear from standard so the picture doesn't look jerky. This has to be done on all Samsung TV's ( I own two). This is not a problem as you can customize the auto-motion plus to your liking. This TV doesn't have apps, but to me that is no big deal, who wants to use facebook on their TV anyways?

Overall this is an outstanding TV and after months of research I am extremely pleased with it. I would recommend this TV to anyone.

Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital Camera and 18-200mm IS Lens Package 6 Review

This is really a very good camera, as you will see if you look at some of the other listings for the camera. Also, at the time of writing this, the camera and lens that comes in this package is $49 more than the package, and you get the accessories with it. It is all in retail packaging, and seems to me to have been put together in the box when I ordered it. It all seems very well made, though not everything is as it seems in the picture. For example, the picture has a Patriot SD card, and the one that I received was a Transcend SD card. Also, the card wallet, SD card reader, and camera bag are not the same as in the picture. However, they do work very well, and so I do not mind that they are not the same brand. I am very impressed with how complete this package is. There is only one thing that I can think of now that I would have liked to see in it, and that would be an air blower for cleaning the sensor. It does have what you would need for a "wet clean," but that is usually considered a last resort, right before taking it to a repair shop. However, at this time an air blower is only five to ten dollars, and so I am not upset that it does not include it. There, the basic review. If you would like, you can continue for an individual review of each item.

1- Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital Camera and 18-55mm II Lens Kit With all supplied accessories -- Really a great camera. Very easy to use, and it takes amazing pictures without being too expensive. -- Price alone: $429.00
1- 32GB SDHC Class 10 Memory Card -- Plenty of memory. On the large JPEG, high quality mode on the camera, you can take approximately 6,666 pictures. -- Price alone: $21.99
1- Rapid External Ac/Dc Charger Kit -- It is great to have the extra charger, and better that you can plug it in in your car. I keep the one that came in the box for the camera plugged in in the house, and this one in my bag. -- Price alone: $9.99
1- USB Memory Card Reader -- This is great, because sometimes computers, especially desktops, do not have a card slot built in. -- Price alone: $5.99
1- Rechargeable Lithium Ion Replacement Battery -- This is another great feature. If you are going on an important photo shoot you don't want the battery to die. And, with the DC charger, you can use one and recharge the other. -- Price alone: $9.99
1- Weather Resistant Carrying Case w/Strap -- You really have to have a bag. This one works just fine, and most of what came in the package fits in. -- Price alone: $5.12
1- Pack of LCD Screen Protectors -- I was happy that these came with it. I would never have thought to look, but it will keep me from having to have the screen replaced if it should be scratched. All I have to do is replace the screen protector, and it will be as good as new. -- Price alone: Sold in kit.
1- Camera & Lens Cleaning Kit System -- This consists of a microfibre cleaning cloth, a bottle of cleaning fluid, and cotton swabs. I have used the cleaning cloth many times, and the cleaning solution with a cotton swab for when I accidentally touched the mirror, and left a finger print. I hope to not have to use it on the sensor for a long time, but it can also be used for that. -- Price alone: Sold in kit.
1- Mini Flexible Table Top Tripod -- I was a little disappointed with this. It is kind of hard to see how small it is from the pictures, and it had some trouble supporting the weight of the camera. -- Price alone: Sold in kit.
1- Memory Card Wallet -- This is great for helping you keep track of more than one memory card. It keeps them all together, and is bigger than the cards themselves, and so is easier to find in your bag. -- Price alone: Sold in kit.
Kit price: $7.75
1- 3 Piece Professional Filter Kit -- These seem to be good quality, though I do not use them much. However, they did come with a nice case. -- Price alone: $8.50
1- Professional Full Size Tripod -- A tripod is really a must, especially if you are doing self-portraits, or long exposures. EDIT: I have since had to replace the tripod because I made a nut fall out, and couldn't get it back in. I got a more expensive tripod (though not by much) because I wanted something a little sturdier, but still think that this is a good tripod to start out with, before you know if you will use it enough to get a more expensive one. It also comes with a nice carrying bag. END EDIT -- Price alone: $17.15
1- Wide Angle Lens Adapter -- This is great for making things seem farther away, or getting more into the shot. It does have a bit of trouble with lens flare, but that is avoidable if you are careful, and I actually like it in some of the pictures. If you go to 18mm, you will be able to see the lens in the corners of the shot, but if you zoom to about 24mm, you can no longer see it. It also has a macro lens with it. -- Price alone: $13.45
1- Super 2X Telephoto Lens -- This is great for taking pictures of things that are farther away and still feeling like you are really close. If you are fully zoomed out with it though, you will be able to see the edges of the lens. But you don't need a telephoto lens on the wide angle side of your zoom lens anyway, so that shouldn't be a problem. -- Price alone: $11.99

Value of package: $540.92
Price at time of writing: $479.99
Savings: $60.93

I don't know about the rest of you, but I think that is a pretty good deal!

EDIT: When I wrote this review originally, it was during a Black Friday sale. So, if you are looking at it at any other time of the year, the savings will be more than what I recorded in the original review. END EDIT
