I finally broke down and decided to purchase a blue ray player. As I work overseas, I needed one that was region free and multi-voltage and the Orei seemed to fit the bill. The price was right, and the reviews I read were generally favorable. When I set it up, it worked but seemed pretty slow on loading and the functions were very sluggish. After less than two months, and very little use, the unit has basically quit working. Discs load and occasionally give audio output but there is no video any longer, not even from menu and setup screens. It is quite possible that I was just unlucky and received a defective unit. Being overseas, the cost of returning the player and the hassle of working with the seller/manufacturer to get a refund isn't worth it so I guess I have a very nice $140 paperweight:).

Not trying to be mean with this review but wanted it on the record that another customer got a lemon so other prospective customers could add this factor in. Based on the other reviews, odds are in your favor to get a good product but there are definitely a few of us who didn't.
