We bought this camera kit from sunset electronics, I called them to find out if it had a USA warranty and was told yes it had a 1year USA warranty, when the camera arrived I tried to register it on the nikon website and found out it would not register it maybe a grey market camera, so I called nikon and was told it was a grey market and it was to be sold in hong kong. This would have been fine if I did not want a warranty, but spending almost $2000.00 I want the warranty, I email sunset electronics as I was upset they lied to me, the offered me an extend warranty via another company, I asked for more information about this company, I checked out the warranty companies web page and no where on there could I find out where I would have to send my camera to, only a phone number to call, no thanks I will just return the package and get my money back, Eric with sunset electronics was no help at all, basically wanted to get me off the phone with a whatever attitude. I will say they did answer my emails and the refund only took a week. I wish I would have researched sunset electronics better before buying from them. I found on the BBB website they have a "F" rating.
I also found when I purchased my new camera su set electrons must do some repackaging of there own, one of the lens was in a box with bubble wrap, my new one had a bag for the lens and a lens hood.
The extra items are cheap products too.
